HEADING TO THE 2024 SINGAPORE YACHTING FESTIVAL? HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT

Yacht lovers, mark your calendars. The 2024 Singapore Yachting Festival returns for its second edition from April 25 to 28 at ONE°15 Marina, and promises an even more thrilling experience than last year’s inaugural show.

Up from 50 vessels in 2023, this year’s lineup boasts over 70 yachts from prominent names the likes of Axopar, Azimut, Ferretti, Gulf Craft, Leopard, Princess, Sunseeker and Sanlorenzo. Several brands new to the festival will be present too, with Greenline, Wally, Dufour, Aquitalia and Yanmar among the confirmed exhibitors. More than 100 yacht brands and marine suppliers will be in attendance, so guests can also look forward to other highlights such as marine crafts, hydrofoil boats and even supercars.

2024 Singapore Yachting Festival: Key premieres, boats and highlights

Notable premieres

The event will host one world premiere and 19 premieres across Asia-Pacific, Southeast Asia and Singapore. Making its global debut is the HH88 Catamaran, designed by Morelli and Melvin. The boat is crafted in carbon fibre, incorporated with hardwood and exotic stone, and features an enclosed fly bridge, hot tub, and jet ski launch.

Wallywhy 200, Magellano 60, Bluegame BGX73 and Princess Y9 are set to make their Asia Pacific premieres; while De Antonio D50, Saxdor 400, Fairline Squadron 58, Wallypower 58, Aquitalia 68, Parker Monaco 110, Dufour 41, and Bluegame 42 are staging their Southeast Asia debut.

Additionally, Rivamare 38, Greenline 40 and Axopar 45 will be showcased for the first time in Singapore.

Boats to see

Don’t miss the superyacht M/Y Silent World, which is finally available for charter in Asia for the first time in over five years. The lavish vessel is equipped with a new 11-metre chase boat, spacious sundeck, hot tub, dining amenities, water toys and more.

Another standout at the 2024 Singapore Yachting Festival is M/Y Galileo, a 55.7-metre steel hull and aluminium expedition yacht that’s also the largest vessel at the event. The Perini Navi-Picchiotti boat is currently open to charters in Southeast Asia and the Maldives, and is dressed in wood and neutral hues. A key aspect is its focus on eco-friendliness, with the use of sustainably sourced products and hybrid propulsion.

Candela C-8, the world’s first 100% electric hydrofoil boat, is also slated to make a splash with its Asia-Pacific debut at the festival. The Swedish-made vessel is the first electric boat to pair a long range with high performance.

Yacht dealer Simpson Marine has several surprises in store for visitors too. In celebration of its 40th anniversary, it will unveil six yachts, including the premieres of the Sanlorenzo SD118 and Fairline Squadron 58.

Also on display at the show is AirFish 8, a hovercraft-like vessel that harnesses aerodynamic forces and air pressure created between itself and the water to enhance its travel speed while remaining fuel-efficient. It’s designed by ST Engineering AirX, and is primed for certification and entry into market by 2025.

Other activities

Boats are undoubtedly the main draw of the 2024 Singapore Yachting Festival, but this year’s edition is all geared up to be a buzzy affair with various fringe activities. A highlight is the Lifestyle Festival Market, featuring stalls with food, drinks, games and demonstrations of gadgets such as jet-boarding. There will also be live music performances.

First-time boat buyers can try their hand at yachting equipment such as tenders and recreational gear, while adventure-lovers can test out water toys and enjoy trials of charter vessels, seabob-jet and speedboat rides.

Adding to the spectacle are daily supercar parades from 3pm to 6pm, by The ExotiCar Club, Porsche, Lamborghini and Ferrari. Aston Martin’s DB12 Volante, DBX707 and DB12 Coupe will also be exhibited throughout the event. View the full schedule of the 2024 Singapore Yachting Festival here.
